Action on Womb Cancer

I can scarcely believe that last month was three years since I founded Womb Cancer Info, let alone that it's now just over seven years since I was diagnosed myself. The time's passed quickly!

Womb Cancer Info was always intended to be - and still is - a small, friendly, online advice and support service for women diagnosed with womb cancer throughout the UK. We can be found on both Facebook and Twitter, or contacted via email and through our Contact Us form here on the website. And because we have an online presence only, with no postal address and no phone line, we don't accept donations - something that's caused confusion on more than one occasion.

Beyond founding Womb Cancer Info, I believed in the need for a womb cancer charity to raise awareness, offer support and raise funds for research. Which is why I'm also a Co-Founder of UK charity Action on Womb Cancer, a collaboration between researchers, medical staff and womb cancer patients.

Action on Womb Cancer works together with Womb Cancer Info and Womb Cancer based in Scotland to raise awareness, provide support for patients and raise funds for research. Our work extends throughout the UK and beyond. For example, as a network we collaborate with Peach Project PH in the Philippines where, thanks to the wonders of the internet, I have a role editing their Philippines based Facebook page from here in the UK.

As womb cancer affects women globally, it makes sense for us to work together with womb cancer organisations both in and out of the UK in order to share good practice and to help spread the word that this cancer exists. I firmly believe that greater awareness of womb cancer will lead to earlier diagnosis that will in turn help to save lives.
