Womb Cancer In Brief: Vanessa

Vanessa was diagnosed with ‪#‎wombcancer‬: It took seven years of flooding to get a diagnosis. When I did get it, I had been flooding for six months on, one week off for two years. It was complicated by my living in the third world, but I went to a GP every visit home and no better treatment. I was also told it was a host of fibroids and a polyp and when they biopsied it was hyperplasia - well if it had been, I wouldn't be stage IVb now. Thank goodness for a locum doing it by the book and my reading somewhere that you had to be more assertive about gynae irregularities when you get to forty. I was 39. ‪#‎wombcancerawareness‬
